Born in Hotevilla on Hopi Third Mesa, Hoyungowa was a highly respected artist whose work exemplified the precision and elegance of traditional Hopi overlay jewelry. Trained within one of Hopi silversmithing's most influential artistic families, Hoyungowa learned his craft from his legendary uncle, Preston Monongye. He developed a distinctive style characterized by exceptionally clean line work, balanced design, and impeccable craftsmanship.
This striking bracelet features a beautifully executed overlay composition incorporating classic Hopi migration and water-inspired motifs framed by stepped geometric elements.
