Vintage Navajo Kokopelli Squash Blossom Necklace Sterling Silver. This fine vintage Navajo sterling silver squash blossom necklace features a traditional seven handcrafted Kokopelli figures arranged in a squash blossom design. Each figure is detailed with traditional stamped ornamentation, sculpted contours and a contrasting silver patina that highlights the work of Navajo silversmithing.
Kokopelli, the flute-playing figure from Southwestern Native American traditions, is associated with fertility, abundance, renewal and the arrival of spring. This necklace puts a creative spin on the classic squash blossom style, replacing the usual blossoms with a series of Kokopelli figures that lead to a Kokopelli naja at the center.
